Biography

Larry excelled in leading world-class people in pursuit of technical excellence, industry breakthroughs, and new markets. Larry had 20 years of technical, technology management, corporate strategy development and business management experience with Sperry Univac Corporation. This included: development of multiple operating systems, airline reservation systems, system design of family of mainframe computers ($8 Billion revenue), identified two new revenue streams ($2 Billion revenue), leadership of Sperry’s entry into the emerging AI Expert Systems market in 1985 (trained 350 programmers in AI tools, OEM’ed Ai hardware & software, initiated 100 internal projects, partnered with 43 universities worldwide, and 50+ customer projects).

Larry co-founded two high tech startups. PEAKSolutions Corporation (Peaks) brought expert system solutions to the everyday marketplace spanning customers in government, industry, and education. PEAKS created innovative solutions to route oversize, overweight vehicles on state highways, help technical college professors create courses, lesson plans, & exams, analyze bids for billion projects to identify the best buy, and create a ‘solution factory’ to produce reusable software components like engineers have off-the-shelf reusable hardware components.

Knowledge Management, Inc’s solutions have been delivered to government, industry, and education clients. These included: development of a Knowledge Engine which kept solution development at the knowledge level, a Hiring Advisor to help small businesses cope with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a just-in-time-learning solution for a paper company that had just digitized its entire set of machinery to make paper, and an organization-wide knowledge solution that tracked the job responsibilities and required training for the entire organization set of employees.

Larry collaborated extensively with the Public Strategies Group (PSG) to bring transformational change to Federal, State, and City governments. Larry participated with multiple PSG clients: Federal Student Aid, New York Department of Transportation, New York Office of Real Property Systems, and the State of Iowa.

Larry co-founded The AWL Group, which augmented and delivered the Action Wheel leadership development framework developed by Dr. Robert Terry. This development program was certified by the Minnesota Medical Associations for Continued Medical Education (CME) credits and was successfully delivered to medical systems, clinics, doctors, nurses, nursing homes, churches, and communities.

Larry served on multiple technical advisory boards, Boards of Directors, and steering committees.

Larry received his BA in Mathematics from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1964. He resides with his wife Judy in Birchwood, Minnesota.
